The Homestead is "Grown-up"!

The Homestead Grocery and Deli, located in Amherst, NH is now owned and operated by Ralph and Janet Melchionda. Ralph managed a grocery store for 28 years and has always had the desire to open a business of his own. Together we are working at making The Homestead a store like only a few others. We want to make it a place that customers can come to for a gallon of milk, dinner or even a bottle of wine! And most importantly, be affordable! The Homestead is becoming a “new concept” to the old idea in a neighborhood convenience store image.

Both of us have a passion for food and a desire to turn our business into an affordable alternative to the large chain grocery store. We want to fill our customers’ needs and welcome their suggestions. You will find us both at the store working everyday to bring our business to where it needs to be.

We have so many new and exciting changes & events planned for The Homestead Grocery and Deli. Specials will be added continuously so make sure you check back here and stop by the store often. As we add new products and services, they will be posted to the What We Offer page so be sure to take a look as we make our changes and "grow' even more!

Welcome Souhegan High School Students!

We want to take this time to let all the kids know how much we enjoy them and how welcomed they are. They are very much appreciated and we look forward to them stopping by. An added bonus for us when we chose to buy The Homestead was it's close proximity to the Souhegan High School.
